Day 1

So I have made it to the airport- the first leg of my journey. Nicole is already in England  waiting for me as she has been teaching there since September.
I have never flown to England during the day before and I have never flown with air Canada. The terminal is very nice.
The waiting area at the gate has nice comfy seats and iPods for people to use, there is free wifi if you have your own device so I thought I would take advantage and write this post as I am waiting.

Speaking of having your own devices, I woke up to this this morning

My trusty iPad had fallen off the nightstand and the screen is cracked! I LOVE my iPad so this was very heartbreaking to me. I have a pretty hardcore screen protector on it so hopefully it will keep all the pieces together and prevent any further cracking until I get home and figure out what the next move is.
My husband Shawn works in Toronto everyday so it was handy to have him drop me at the airport. It was a bit too early for anyone else to want and join us lol. It is my youngest daughter Katie's last day of university today so she needed her sleep to prepare for a day of classes followed by work.
I am going to miss the people I have left at home but I am certainly excited for the adventure I have started.
