Day 6

In order to break up our trip a little but we decided to have an extra fun day at Disneyland Paris! My Mom and I had both been to the one in Florida so we were very excited to see some of the similarities and differences between the two parks. The was neat for Ryan to do because he had never been to Disneyland before.

We started off this adventure by catching the Disneyland Paris express coach bus that came with our ticket package. We had to take the metro to our stop which was hard to find because there was NO sign anywhere to let us know we were in the right spot. It was very relieving when some more people showed up so we knew we were in the right place!
It takes about an hour from this point to get to Disneyland, which is apparently a nice drive through the countryside... Not like any of us would know as we took this time to get a few extra minutes of sleep.

Once we arrived we had two parks to choose from- we bought a one day, two park pass so we would be able to see everything during our time there. We started off our journey at Disney Hollywood Studios . This was the smaller of the two parks and had two of my favourite rides- the Rockin Rollercoaster, and the Tower of Terror. We made sure to do these two rides first so we wouldn't have to wait in a huge line. After those two rides we walked around and just took in the sights. Disneyland never fails to entertain you all of the way, everywhere you go! Lots of amazing flowers, posters, sculptures, and animations! Made me feel like a kid again!
After we had seen all the sights at the first park we then made our way over to the second park, Disneyland Park. This park is the main one that is inspired by Magic Kingdome in Florida. It had the big castle, all the cool shops, and the classical rides that you would expect to see in Disneyland. At this point we were getting pretty hungry, and after searching around, we found a place to eat. Now, what should have been a fast experience turned out to be quite a painful one. We waited in line for 45 minutes to get our lunch, longer than we waited in line to get on a ride! However, the lunch turned out to be worth the wait. My Mom and I got salads and Ryan got a chicken sandwich that all came in these cool bags! It tasted delicious too!
We went on another few rides after that and checked out all of the areas within the park- Adventureland, Fantasyland, Frontierland, and Discoveryland. After we had been in all the rides we wanted to go on we made our way back to the main strip just in time for the parade. If you ever go to Disneyworld make sure you stick around for the parades, they are spectacular! All of the characters come out and they are so animated and fun, it's definitely worth your while.

Now that they parade was over, we had some time to kill before our bus was to pick us up. We used this time to look at the shops and grab some souvenirs (I got a Beauty and the Beast book but in French to add to my collection.) It was easy to not spend a lot of money this time because we have no room to store stuff in so that helped save our wallets! We then grabbed dinner at the Macdonalds that was in the little strip of restaurants and shops just outside of the two parks and then headed to catch our bus home!

Overall, another amazing day had by all!!

  1. I had never even thought about you guys doing Disneyworld. I usually forget it is even there. Kind of a really neat "touristy" thing to do. Looks like our Disney to me. You are really navigating well considering it isn't your native language. And I love the comment about not being able to buy things. Every ounce you get -- you carry. No trunk to shove it in. Have a good sleep and get ready for more adventures tomorrow.
